Framegrabber of SILICONSOFTWARE are optimized on the maximum performances and special featuers of the cameras. At a large number of cameras, the dual mode, the maximum resolution and maximum frame rate are supported . Besides camera specific properties, additional filter or pre-processing operations are supported at most cameras in real time: i.e. 1D or 2D shading correction, colour representation by Bayer correction or "fixed pattern noise" suppression for CMOS sensors.

In the special cases, ask directly about the support for your individual sytem configuration.

The compatibility tests cover:

  1. camera discovery,
  2. camera configuration via GigE Explorer (random checks) and
  3. image acquisition (start, stop, restart).                         

Notes:

  1. Known Issues will be fixed in a future Runtime (RT) release. Please ask for already available fixes/workarounds
  2. Customers should use Silicon Software Runtime 5 or higher. Do NOT use Runtime Version 3 or 4 
  3. For some reasons typically the XML interpretation and feature view of the GigE Explorer and a corresponding vendor tool differs on some points 
  4. Tests have been performed on base of certain camera firmware and Runtime version. Silicon Software can not guarantee the compatibility of updated or upgraded camera models or Runtime environments other than tested ones. But we make the effort to keep you up-to-dated. Please ask for a certain environment.
  5. We would be very happy to get your customer feedback if problems occur with certain camera model s(regardless if it is already listed or not) and also if a certain camera is running successful. Please send an email to support@silicon-software.de
